rejuvapen microneedling before and after
The photos above have generally had a minimum of 3 treatments or a combination of modalities and/or home skincare. It’s the things we do EVERY DAY that enhance RESULTS.
Reduce the appearance of pore size, wrinkles, stretch marks and acne, surgical or other scars.
At Skin Inspiration, we pride ourselves on state-of-the-art technology and advanced techniques to address your skin concerns. The Rejuvapen is a medical device using multiple needles in a single cartridge and is only available to trained practitioners. A new disposable needle cartridge is provided for each client and for every new treatment.Â
Rejuvapen is able to treat the skin on your face or body ranging from a depth of .1mm up to and including 2.6mm.
Your Skin Needling treatment can be compared to going to boot camp for a fit body, but still having to maintain homecare exercise and a healthy lifestyle in order to retain and improve the results achieved with your personal trainer.Â
Remember the body and skin are continually aging so the results need to be boosted on a regular basis. The ideal frequency is two to three treatments, four to six weeks apart every three, six, nine or twelve months.
Financial & treatment benefits are available for seasonal or regular skin needling if purchased in advance.
Frequently Asked Skin Needling Questions
What Can Skin Needling Treat?
Skin Needling can treat open pores, scar tissue, fine lines and wrinkles, refine coarse skin texture, and stretch marks. The Rejuvapen improves the thickness of the dermis as well as the epidermis. This, in turn, improves skin texture and reduces wrinkles.
It also has a positive effect on hyper-pigmentation as well as on hypo-pigmentation. Reduces disfiguring scars and acne scars, stimulates new collagen fibres, improves the blood supply and harmonises pigmentation.
How Does Skin Needling Treat Skin Rejuvenation?
Skin Needling stimulates skin cells to proliferate. This cell multiplication results in the formation of new tissue layers of elastin and collagen fibres (neo-collagenases) as well as in new capillaries for an improved blood supply (neo-angiogenesis). The treatment has the ability to provide new vigour and energy to the skin by increasing the network of blood and directing the supply of extra nutrients and oxygen to the face or treated area.

How Does Skin Needling Treat Scar Tissue?
The procedure works by releasing old fibrotic scar tissue deep within the skin. Scar tissue is what creates visible scars on the surface of the skin. The treatment will repair the skin naturally, working below the surface in the dermis. This takes time as new collagen and elastin fibres are formed, softening scars, generating new skin cells and enhancing blood supply. Results can be seen within 4-6 weeks.
Does Skin Needling Hurt?
After the skin is cleansed thoroughly an appropriate numbing cream is applied to the area to be treated. This usually takes about 30-40 minutes to activate and the treatment will not hurt.
How Often can the Skin Needling Treatment be Performed?
Depending on the condition to be treated, it is recommended to start with 3 treatments. These are usually spaced 4-6 weeks apart. A review 4 weeks after the 3rd treatment is recommended to appreciate the final result of 3 treatments. More sessions can then be planned based on individual results.
What Will I Look Like Immediately After the Treatment?
Immediately after your treatment, you will look as though you have moderate sunburn and your skin will feel warm and tighter than usual. This will start to subside after 1-2 hours and will normally recover within 24-36 hours post-treatment.
It is suggested to go home and relax after the treatment. Makeup cannot be applied for 24 hours post a skin needling treatment.
What Downtime Do I Have After the Treatment?
The inflammatory reaction of the skin is extremely short and fades significantly within hours from redness to pinkish, which may last for 24-48 hours on average. To reduce visible redness, we recommend the application of healing minerals, peptides and hyaluronic acid after the procedure. This will assist in soothing, calming, protecting and encouraging the regeneration of healthy cells and rejuvenating skin. Applying zinc-based sunscreen is suggested to protect the skin from the sun. We also recommend the use of mineral makeup to help with the healing. The healing protocol should be followed for about 5 days, and your normal skincare routine may resume.
What to Avoid After the Treatment?
To ensure the right healing environment, for 2-3 days post-treatment, avoid the use of Alpha Hydroxy Acids (for example – Glycolic, Lactic. Mandelic Acid), and Retinol ingredients. Chlorinated pools, sun exposure, saunas, sweaty exercise, helmets should also be avoided.
How Can I Maximise My Skin Needling Results?
A home care roller system, with a specific rolling pattern, can be used in conjunction with prescribed home care products every other day. This home care routine will enhance product absorption by up to 20%. The home care roller system will need to be replaced every 3 months when it is used on the face and neck every other day. After the course of 2-3 treatments, Skin Needling can be performed every 3 months to maintain optimum benefit.
RF (RADIO FREQUENCY) SKIN NEEDLING
A preventative and corrective solution for sagging, wrinkled or scarred skin.
This minimally invasive combination treatment has barely any downtime. After the sterile needling process, you may have a mild redness that reduces within 24 hours. RF (Radio Frequency) Needling is a treatment that uses tiny needles and radiofrequency energy that stimulate the body’s natural healing response to tighten your skin and renew your youthful radiance.
With over 38 years in the industry, Owner and senior Aesthetician Sue Carroll is committed to professional development and technology to ensure her clients obtain optimal results. In 2023 She trained with anti-aging expert Dr Matthais Aust, a plastic surgeon and one of the leading researchers in skin needling. The training focused on the benefits of RF needling for skin regeneration, rejuvenation, wrinkle and scar treatments.
Sue’s passion for combining peptides and serums with skin needling means a new range of treatments are available for you to enjoy for the face, neck decolletage and body. The most popular choice for mature or sun-damaged skin is the VitaGlow Premium Package – 2 x Regular Skin Needling + 1 RF Skin Needling with visible results if completed within 4-6 weeks – see prices below.
Our experienced Aestheticians use the latest technology to create controlled micro-injuries on the skin’s surface and deliver radiofrequency energy to deeper layers of the skin, promoting collagen production to tighten skin. This treatment is highly recommended for saggy skin to reduce fine lines or wrinkles and can improve the texture and tone of the skin. It is also a popular treatment choice for pore refinement and to reduce the appearance of scars and stretch marks.

Frequently Asked RF Needling Questions
How does RF Needling work?
RF Needling uses microneedles to deliver radio frequency energy (heat) directly into various depths in the skin. The treatment causes a controlled wound that stimulates the body’s natural healing response. This, in turn, creates a response in the skin promoting collagen production, which helps to tighten and renew your youthful radiance.
RF Skin Needling is a popular choice to improve the texture and tone of saggy skin, to reduce pitted acne scarring, pore refinement, surgical scars, stretch marks and age concerns such as fine lines and wrinkles.
What does an RF Needling treatment involve?
The procedure generally involves 3-6 treatments at 2-4 week intervals, depending on the skin quality, concerns and desired outcome.
Popular choices with our clients for needling are to take advantage of peptide and serum infusions or to experience the VitaGlow Package – 2 x Regular Skin Needling + 1 RF Skin Needling with visible results if completed within 4-6 weeks.
How long does an RF Needling treatment take?
Treatments can vary and last from 10-105 minutes, depending on the size of the area being treated.
If you are working to a timeline on the day of treatment, we suggest you phone the clinic for a more accurate answer unique to your requirements.
How long does it take for RF Needling results to show?
The results included reduced textured scarring, improved pore size, reduction of fine lines and firmer skin in treated areas.
Results can take 1-6 months depending on the treatment plan and frequency of treatments, but most people see the improvement after their 2nd or 3rd treatment. This can occur within 4-6 weeks.
Results would rarely be achieved from a one-off treatment. Speak to our experienced aestheticians about packages so that together, we can ensure your expectations match your choice of treatments required.
How long do RF Needling results last for?
The length of results will vary from person to person depending on age, frequence of treatments and daily homecare routines.
As we gain more wisdom (age), our skin loses laxity. With regular collagen-stimulating treatments, you will enjoy the benefits of skin regeneration and rejuvenation that can tighten in addition to improving the texture and tone of the skin.
We recommend morning and night skincare routines that include cleansing, toning and moisturising with clinical skincare.
Are there any maintenance treatments required?
Yes, maintenance treatments are suggested every 3-4 months to ensure the longevity of the treatment plan’s results.
We also recommend morning and night skincare routines that include cleansing, toning, and moisturising.
How is RF Needling different to MicroNeedling?
RF Needling uses a technology different from MicroNeedling, with a greater range of depths and more control for different parts of the face or body, enabling it to safely treat deeper layers of the skin for more effective results.
Do any other treatments compliment or work well with this RF Needling?
Combining peptides and serums with RF needling is one of Sue’s Signature treatments. The RF Needling heat promotes collagen production to tighten the skin and creates microscopic holes in the skin so the serums penetrate the skin deeper to improve the skin tone and texture.Â
When combining RF needling and serum infusions, results will last longer and renew your radiance.
For mature and sun damaged skin we recommend the VitaGlow Package which involves 2 x standard Skin Needling + one RF Skin Needling with visible results if completed within 4-6 weeks
What are the benefits of RF Needling vs other resurfacing options?
RF needling works at the same depths some resurfacing laser but with barely any downtime.
Before RF needling technology, the only options available for scarring and pore refinement were laser treatments that had 3-7 days’ downtime, which would require 6-8 weeks in between treatments.
Another benefit of RF needling is the ability to adjust the depth of the needle tips throughout the treatment so the aesthetician can treat both deep & superficially to maximise results.
Is there any pre or post care needed?
Skin must be hydrated and can be further enhanced by using a pigment-inhibiting product 2-4 weeks before starting.
A regular home care program will support the benefits of the treatment, and sun protection must be worn at all times, even if not in direct sun exposure.
Are there any side effects or downtime from RF Needling?
You may have some mild redness for about 24 hours after treatment. Some treated areas might have minor swelling, which normally resolves in 24 hours.
What areas can RF Needling treat?
The face and neck are the most popular areas but the decolletage and body can also be treated to improve the texture and tone of the skin.
RF Needling is also a popular treatment choice for surgical scars, acne scars, pore refinement and stretch marks.
Are there any contraindications for the RF Needling treatment?
Anybody prone to keloid scarring or on certain medications cannot be treated. You will be required to complete a consultation form to identify any contraindications.
You can ask the clinic to email you this form in advance.
