REAL PEOPLE. REAL RESULTS.

Introduction To Electroporation

Electroporation is an alternative (non-surgical) skin treatment first developed in 1952 by Michael Pistor (a French doctor) that helps restore skin elasticity, tone, hydration, and firmness, thus creating smoother skin. Vitamins and enzymes are introduced into the skin’s surface, which triggers increased collagen and elastin production. Collagen and elastin are critical in fighting most signs of ageing, such as fine lines, wrinkles, age spots, and excess fat.

Electro-poration, also known as ‘red-carpet facial’, can thus help

  • Reduce/eliminate wrinkles and fine lines
  • Tighten and smoothen your skin
  • Improve skin hydration
  • Improve skin tone.

While electroporation effectively improves most signs of ageing and skin conditions, the results may vary from one person to another. This is because our bodies are unique and respond differently to elements introduced into the skin.  Some will see results in days, while others may take longer. One electroporation session might not be enough for this treatment method to work.

Are There Side Effects?

Electroporation is a walk-in, walk-out type of treatment.  Each session will thus last only a couple of minutes to an hour.

Electroporation for the Face: What You Need To Know

We all desire to preserve youthful, smooth and radiant skin. Maintaining healthy, youthful, and radiant skin is an unending task, especially once we reach a certain age or are exposed to harsh elements or weather. Eating healthy and exercising might not be enough to prevent fine lines and age spots from appearing on your face. Luckily, electroporation for the face and neck provides a feasible solution for improvement.  When done professionally by an experienced aesthetician, electroporation can help restore firm, smooth, radiant skin without cosmetic surgery.

Electroporation treatment for the face is a straightforward procedure.

Other benefits of electroporation include:

  • Improves skin hydration levels

Electroporation is a very popular and highly efficient method of infusion of active serums such as exosomes, peptides, growth factors and antioxidants, to name but a few actives. During electroporation, a small nonpainful electrical pulse is used to create temporary pores in cell membranes through which active serums can pass.
Electroporation is a technique in which an electrical field is applied to cells in order to increase the permeability of the membranes, allowing products to be introduced into the cell more efficiently. Its application to the skin has been shown to increase transdermal product delivery by several orders of magnitude

The Apollo Duet electroporation & iontophoresis handpiece heats the skin up to 45ºC to soften and dilate the skin, significantly improving absorption. This will stimulate the heat shock proteins in the skin. Unlike radiofrequency (RF), this method does not cause the tissue to tighten.
In combination with heating or cooling, the electroporation and iontophoresis handpiece guarantees extremely effective infusion of therapeutic hydrophilic electrolytes into deeper skin tissues for maximum therapeutic results – boosting hydration, reducing inflammation, calming irritated skin, brightening & smoothing skin texture, and much more
The electroporation & iontophoresis handle also cools the skin down to -20ºC, calming the skin to facilitate treatment of problematic skin conditions, including irritated, inflamed, and sensitive skin. The cold electroporation will also stimulate the cold shock proteins in the skin, leaving them feeling firm, calm and radiant.

A cryo applicator is meticulously engineered to cool the skin down to 5 degrees Celsius, revitalising it, diminishing inflammation, activating cold shock proteins, and enhancing circulation. Much like the rejuvenating effects of ice baths, the Cryofacial treatment systematically reduces the skin’s temperature to bolster its immune response and combat environmental stressors. This process significantly boosts collagen formation and enhances lymphatic drainage, culminating in improved skin tone and texture.
Immediate Results: Clients are drawn to treatments that deliver quick and effective results. Cryofacials can enhance their skin’s natural beauty without the need for harsh chemicals or extensive preparation, making it a highly attractive option.
Non-Invasive with Minimal Downtime: Cryofacials require no downtime, making them ideal for clients preparing for special events or those seeking a quick enhancement. This treatment is perfect for anyone looking to achieve an instant glow with minimal fuss.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is Electro-poration suitable for my skin?

Electro-poration is suitable for most skin types, especially those who are looking to brighten and deeply hydrate the skin. Those with active acne should discuss their treatment options with one of our aestheticians before doing Electro-poration treatments.

How many sessions of Electro-poration will I need?

We recommend starting with a course of 3 sessions of Electro-poration. At this point, we will do a review of your skin and determine the next best course of treatments. After this initial course of treatments, we generally recommend clients to come in every 3 months to maintain their results. This may determined by age, skin condition and the desired result.

How long after treatment will I start seeing results?

3 to 4 weeks after treatment, you will start observing:

  • The disappearance of many dark spots
  • Significant reduction in pigmentation
  • Overall improvement in skin tone and complexion
When will I see results with Electro-poration?

Results can be seen after the first session within 2- 6 weeks and will gradually improve over time as more sessions are performed.

Is there any downtime after Electro-poration?

Depending on the treatment delivery system, you may experience some redness and swelling for 24-48 hours after the treatment. This is localized to the area being treated.

It is imperative that only Mesoestetic Skincare be used during this time to achieve the best possible outcome and minimise the incidence of reactions.

You must complete the aftercare rejuvenation treatments in the Clinic as outlined with your aesthetician.
